“A must stop in Shakespeare town. Last trip, an absolute killer of a roast-beef hash special, spicy and flavorful enough that hot sauce or ketchup were out of the question.”

From Mr. Breakfast

The best food I’ve ever eaten. Breakfast or lunch, it can’t be beat, and I’ve eaten in a LOT of places. This if my favorite by far. Patty Groth, the owner, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and there is no better cooking school. She is fabulous!

Award Nomination: Best Breakfast Ever

Creative menu and extremely great coffee, served in huge-ass eclectic mugs. Lots of organic/local/politically correct fare (but it does taste better!). Fortunately, they don’t skimp on sugar, butter, or caffeine. The waitresses are bitchy, but so’s Ashland, and who cares if the food is so great? Extra bonus: the interior decorating is snazzy and cheery, even better if you can dine on the screened in porch. Check out the naked flying fairy paintings on the bright blue walls or the hand-mosaiced tile tables. A breakfast for two averages 20-25, but it’s so good you’ll want to stay for lunch. Can be crowded on weekends, but weekdays you can get fast service AND the cute men-waiters (who are friendlier) We save up and try to go at least once a month!
